This 10th century historical monument, located on the Tsalenjikha-Zugdidi road, was rebuilt by Odishi's principal Levan II Dadiani and decorated and donated to the Jerusalem Cross Monastery. Its leader was Nikoloz Cholokashvili, a prominent Georgian clergyman and political figure who helped bring Samegrelo closer to Europe and promote trade. Beautiful views can be seen from the church – both on the Colchis lowland and the Black Sea. Niko Dadiani, the last ruler of Samegrelo, is also buried in Kortskheli.
